Cook the meals with a warming spices such as ginger and black pepper to boost the digestive fire and prevent the accumulation of toxins in the body. Turmeric, chili pepper, cloves, coriander, and cumin are also excellent for this dosha. To keep the balance Kapha skin eat bitter, spicy and astringent foods that will stimulate digestion. Avoid salt because it increases Kapha.
Honey is great for this skin type. In the morning on an empty stomach, drink a warm glass of water with a tablespoon of honey. Hydration of the skin is equally important for this skin type.
